Happy Friday everyone — hope the week went well.

I wanted to wrap up the week with some short thoughts on the heels of our market updates this week.

Make sure to check out our posts this week on tech stocks, buying the dip, and the overall state of markets. Many of the calls are well into the money now. We’ll have some updates next week on this.

What I’m Buying Before the Breakout

What I am Buying on The Dip

Recently in my own life — things seem to have sped up significantly, in fact I can’t believe that we are already in May of 2025, feels as if the year literally just started.

Maybe it’s because I have children now, maybe it’s because of professional obligations and running a business, who knows — but time seems to be moving so much more quickly now. You don’t really notice the days, but the weeks and months seem to just fly by.

Time is the purest and most valuable commodity on earth. Average life expectancy globally is around ~77–80 years. That translates to about 4,000 weeks or 920 months.

Pretty wild to think about. Looking at the chart below is even wilder.

Anyway the point isn’t to soberly dwell on our mortality but rather examine how we can leverage this into a sense of urgency to get shit done and become more fulfilled on the journey we all find ourselves on.

We don’t have as much time as we think we do. That can become a lost concept when we’re neck deep in powerpoint or excel, when we’re studying for a certification or test, or when we’re drowning in busy work. Many just survive each week only to numb themselves on weekends and go right back into drone mode the next week.

Fridays have always been double edged swords for me — on one hand it’s always nice that the work week is coming to an end, but I always seem to have some degree of negative emotions as well rooted around the fact that another week had passed and there was/is still work that needed to be done to achieve longer term goals.

Going talk a bit today about:

  • Developing a sense of urgency

  • Pointers to maximize your work days (and more importantly the weekend)

  • Breaking out work into buckets to maximize what will serve you (and pay you) most

Another week is wrapping up — we’re moving quickly through 2025 and warm weather is approaching, which brings with it opportunity and distractions.

Hopefully today we can help folks hone in on their mission, cut out distractions, and feel better about the work done over the course of the week.

After all — success is compounding. If you’re unhappy or not satisfied with what you have or where you’re headed time is not on your side, but that doesn’t mean you can’t begin to flip the script this afternoon and refresh that sense of urgency that will allow you to accomplish MORE in a shorter amount of time.

“ ‘Someday’ is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you.”
