***Jarvis — activate political schizo mode***
Happy Friday — could be better though, if we had not had, say, a biblical meltdown online yesterday between President Trump and Elon Musk that sent markets spiraling downward with haste.
The truth is many called this fragmentation, and there’s been a broader split on the right in this country since the election. Some (likely many of you) realize just how close we came to utter fucking disaster with Kamala Harris.
It’s obvious in retrospect, that the establishment was willing to lie endlessly about Joe Biden, install him again if possible, and let Kamala Harris take over when he inevitably croaked, only problem was he croaked publicly too early in a key debate.

While I am critical of some aspects of this administration so far — I want to make one thing perfectly clear given the deaf showboating by the left in the last 24 hours.
There’s not a single shred of legitimacy left for the establishment party and modern progressive machine — the media lied endlessly for years, the whole system covered up Joe Biden’s mental state (at detriment to our nation), they abused Covid, enabled big tech to censor election information and vital health information alongside intelligence agencies, corruption exploded across federal agencies and institutions (true fascism), they enabled the complete takeover of our country by illegal migration and soft on crime bolshevik policies, and the Biden administration openly waged direct war on political opponents. The media’s rhetoric and language fueled the eventual two attempts on Trumps life, afterwards they entirely downplayed it.
Make no mistake — had the establishment pulled off the Kamala psy op it would of been end game for this country. I still shudder wondering how that even became a “thing” to begin with.
Absurdity. Theres people celebrating the argument yesterday as if in some fucked up reality that surely means the alternative would have been better for our country.
For all of the shortcomings of the current administration, the alternative meant open season on those who didn’t fall in line, those of us who want the US back on track, and those of us who are tired of the blatant subversion of our nation by those tasked with leading it, comprised of politicians and individuals on both sides of the political aisle.
That’s why this transgression yesterday sucks — if it’s genuine it slows much needed momentum to quickly get us as far away from the track we were on as possible. It’s childish and embarrassing among other things.
Yesterday all of the following took place:
Musk slammed Trump’s spending bill on X, calling it bloated and fiscally irresponsible, warning it would further balloon the national deficit
Trump fired back in a meeting, suggesting Musk is only upset because the bill cuts electric vehicle subsidies
Musk shot back online, saying he didn’t even get to review the bill before it passed and slamming Trump for ingratitude, claiming he helped Trump win in 2024
Musk upped the ante, calling for Trump’s impeachment and floating Vice President JD Vance as a replacement
Musk dropped a bombshell by alleging Trump’s name is in the Epstein files, suggesting it’s been covered up
Trump threatened retaliation on Truth Social, promising to cut federal subsidies and contracts for Musk’s companies
Musk countered with his own threat—he said SpaceX will start phasing out its Dragon spacecraft, critical for ISS missions, as payback (had since retracted this)
Markets reacted harshly—Tesla’s stock dropped 15%, Trump’s media company’s shares fall 8%, and the $TRUMP coin loses 12%
Musk hinted at bigger moves, teasing the creation of a new political party to represent the “80% in the middle,” signaling he might leave behind Trump’s orbit for good (remember this because we will touch on it again)
This explosive and dumb feud underscores how personal rivalries between powerful figures can rattle financial markets, amplify deep social division, and create uncertainty for both political alliances and investor confidence. It’s a vivid illustration of how quickly individual spats can spiral into broader economic and political disruption, leaving both sides—and the nation—on edge.
But the good news is, it serves as vindication on many of the things we already suspected.
Today we’re going to dive into the following before the weekend:
What this means for markets and our bags in the short term (equities, crypto, energy, etc.)
Will we have a recession in the second half of the year as Elon claimed yesterday?
The several types of Americans (and citizen’s globally) I see in today’s world — which ones are going to make it, which ones are definitely not
The changing global political landscape in this country and why it’s going to get much more extreme sooner rather than later
Get your caffeine and upper deckys ready if you indulge.
Whether or not people realize it, yesterday was a turning point, even if the hype and hysteria dies down quickly. There are certain truths and realizations in the US and West that cannot be argued with now. The economic and political future of this country can be accurately extrapolated from the events that took place yesterday.
Nobody is coming to save you, the cavalry is not coming to help.
It’s all up to you.
“In half a lifetime, many Americans have seen their God dethroned, their heroes defiled, their culture polluted, their values assaulted, their country invaded, and themselves demonized as extremists and bigots for holding on to beliefs Americans have held for generations.”
— Pat Buchanan
