521: Leftist Violence, ICE Insurgency, A Nation Divided
Afternoon.
Spicy one before you guys clock out for what might be an eventful weekend in the US and the Middle East.
Monday or Tuesday we’re going to do a fat markets recap, but today I want to cover something a bit more pressing that we’ve touched on for well over a year.
In the aftermath of the ICE shooting in Minneapolis that killed Renee Good, the US is once again entering a 2020 type state of social unrest. I told you this unrest during the second Trump Administration was coming in 2024. It was inevitable.
Political themed posts are double edged swords, most of you enjoy them because most of you think like me.
You value freedom, sovereignty, liberty, and the country you live in.
You understand how polar things have gotten, but you are able to see through the noise and distill what is actually going on.
At this point, after years of absurdity, I’m not really interested in political labels or camps as much as I am concerned with accurately depicting the reality of the world we find ourselves in and navigating it.
I’m a normal 33 year old male who has watched his country devolve into an unrecognizable shell of its former self post 9/11. This deterioration ramped up during Covid and it has continued to get worse and worse as many of you are well aware.
Everyday we get a headline that tops the former.
Each day this entire thing gets more unbelievable.
I don’t really care about Republicans or Democrats, Trump or Biden, I’m not concerned with figuring out where exactly I stand on the political spectrum, it’s all just superfluous to the very real threats before us. I know what I am seeing, I know who is responsible, and I know that what is happening is not sustainable.
I recognize that most normal people feel this as well.
We are in a frenzy. We are in a turning of the cycle, a pivot in the direction of an empire.
There will be no amicable truce between the two factions battling this out in the US and that’s the part that is disheartening.
That is what you need to realize.
Doesn’t matter if you want no part of it, doesn’t matter if you have some cushy job in a big city and check the news once a week, doesn’t matter if you think this will never touch you.
It will.
This thing is accelerating and it is super ugly.
It is well past the point of any sort of return to normalcy.
I don’t write this as a “Republican” or “conservative” lecture. I am synthesizing and reading the situation in this country for what it is and applying the following (what used to be universal) assumptions/truths:
ICE is legitimate
Law enforcement is good
Violently resisting law enforcement is bad
Strong borders are good
Illegal immigrants are criminals
They need to be deported
Crazy stuff right?
It’s wild I even need to preface this piece with this but it’s necessary. Half the country has the exact opposite view on these stances, which explains why they act the way they do. 99% of the conflict erupting in our country right now is due to the fact people have been conditioned to stand against all of these points above.
But here is the thing:
You and I have little in common if we don’t agree on the above. It’s as simple as that. You will not agree with the premise of today’s post if we aren’t on this same basic starting point. So if we’re not, no problem, but you’re not going to enjoy this.
Opponents of these truths lie, excuse, and straw man, attempting to make you believe their fight is about something else, but just realize if they disagree with all the points above, you are not going to find common ground with them.
How could you? There is no sane world in which the truths above aren’t common sense.
Normally it would be fine, people can have their own opinions and believe whatever they want.
Unfortunately for us, that ideology is now well past turning kinetic in the United States, it is being used to justify violent resistance, and it represents a core pillar of the insurgency growing against American interests, law enforcement, and rule of law under this second Trump Administration.

"We're going to get your f**king address, and your title, and your name from the federal government database," the woman yelled, threatening "all of your loved ones and kids."
"When this s**t is over, we're going to hunt you the f**k down."

Pretty insane passage right? This was screamed by a woman protesting outside the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis this week after the ICE shooting that left a woman dead.
We’re not going to rehash it all as we did that yesterday.
