Tesla’s Robot Waiters, Silver at $39, and America’s Culture Hits a Circuit Breaker
440: Stock Highs, Crypto Liquidations, and the App That Turned Dating into Stasi Surveillance
Morning all,
Hope the week is going well so far.
Markets are breaking records, the Fed is cornered, crypto is coiling again—and the culture war is reaching boiling point.
Let’s get into it.
Financial Markets
Markets pushed higher this week, with all major indices logging solid gains and several notching fresh record highs. The Dow led the charge, followed by the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, while small caps in the Russell 2000 also showed strength—suggesting broad risk-on sentiment.
Investors were buoyed by strong earnings reports, easing trade tensions with Japan, and stable bond yields, all of which contributed to a calm, low-volatility environment.
The next FOMC meeting is scheduled for July 29–30, so any update on interest rates will come then. For now, the federal funds rate remains at 4.25%–4.50%, where it's been since late 2024. While some Fed officials are openly pushing for cuts, leadership appears to be more cautious despite insane political pressure form Trump, likely waiting until at least September to act—especially with inflation and trade tensions still in play.

Some interesting data from the Kobeissi Letter in their X post below. It appears that institutional investors are continuing their aggressive selling despite retail continuing to pile into markets like lunatics.
Corporations are also buying.
This is some wild volume — are the sheep going to get slaughtered or is this different? Maybe institutions aren’t as smart as we all thought they were and nobody has any idea what is going on….
Electronic Arts EA 0.00%↑ is dropping the new trailer for Battlefield 6 — the highly anticipated title. Battlefield 6, officially revealed as "Battlefield", is set to be released before March 2026.
You can watch the trailer HERE.
Should be a very welcome drop for those tired of Call of Duty and the fornite-ification of Warzone with Seth Rogan and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle operator skins.
A new app called Tea is now the number one app on the App Store. Tea is a women-only app where the users can anonymously share info and warnings about various men to spot red flags and get feedback. Nobody wants to end up going home with Ted Bundy 2.0, but let’s be real here, that’s not what this is going to be used for.
Like I said on X imagine the outrage if there was a comparable app for men to do research on women. You’d have human rights groups and feminists going completely loko.
On top of some of the wilder dating stories coming out of NYC and the demise of apps like Bumble, it really is a sad testament not only to the state of dating in 2025, but the relationships between the sexes, which seems defined by distrust, stand offish behavior, and ego.
Crypto
Classic little pullback on crypto to rinse the market and prepare for the next leg higher. As of about 4:30 pm ET yesterday afternoon according to Whale insider — 200,032 crypto traders were liquidated, with total losses amounting to $586.21 million, in the preceding 24 hours.
These massive blowups always highlight being insane greed that accompanies any accelerated pump in crypto. People just aren't happy holding spot and being patient, but it's good news for folks that we're looking to enter new tokens or buy on the pull back.
This pullback changes nothing — I'm not gonna beat a dead horse as we've done plenty of paid posts for subs over the last two weeks on what you need to do to capitalize on the incoming crypto bowl pump, but if there's one thing to realize at this point, it's that the institutions are absolutely all over this.
Sharks circling the juicy tuna swarm.
You can (and I suggest you do) read them below. Paid subs will tell you they pay for this newsletter 1,000x over.

Will be interesting to see how price reacts this weekend. I expect a bounce across the board, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bitcoin make another big move up again.

Our primary partner — Gemini has launched tokenized U.S. stocks for its EU users, offering over 30 major companies—like Nike, Coca‑Cola, Adobe, and Uber—as fully blockchain-backed tokens on Arbitrum.
These tokenized shares mirror real‑world prices 1:1, enabling near 24/5 trading, instant settlement, and fractional ownership, accessible directly from crypto wallets. While they may lack typical shareholder rights like voting, they provide a flexible, borderless, and DeFi‑compatible bridge between traditional equities and crypto infrastructure.
Positions I am adding to on this recent dip include Avalanche AVAX, Aave AAVE, and Near Protocol NEAR. I am in the process of trying to nail down an interview with the Head of Partner Development, VC & Investor Relations at NEAR in the coming weeks.
New updates next week on the crypto front.
Global News & Geopolitics
You know the meme of the guy that says “I'm tired boss”?
That's about how I feel right now on the political front at least in the United States and western countries.
As I said we were able to luckily stay off the implementation of full-blown communism in the United States with the defeat of Kamala Harris, but the rollout of the Trump administration has many people, including myself, frustrated.
There was never the belief that one man or any modern political party could completely implement the radical amount of change we need to get this country back on course, but many people, including myself were hopeful that we would see more follow through on some of the promises and antidotes to alleviate the degradation of our country we’ve seen over the past 10 years.
To cut completely to the point if it's not extreme and decisive change being implemented to address the major issues of the past 5 to 10 years I simply don't care. Chances are if it upsets people it's the right course of action at this point.
And I'm not talking about pissing off the droves of people that simply just hate Trump.
With the exception of posts on the rise of violent rhetoric and behavior by the far left in the United States and occasional Epstein related coverage, I haven't really gone full political since the election.
It doesn't mean that there's not stories worth covering, but I was a little bit maxed out on that content given the lead up to the election, and of course the geopolitical front has provided us with an unending stream of everything from the Iran Israel debacle to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
One of the promises that the Trump campaign made last year was to unearth the actual story of Jeffrey Epstein and the network that supported and facilitated his international sex trafficking ring. I've already told you what the likely truth here is, which is that this was a global intelligence asset blackmail operation that likely involved notable in elite people from all over the world, including US politicians, celebrities, and high net worth individuals.
This network was no doubt incredibly extensive and many have argued that Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, was undoubtedly involved in some capacity. Some cite this as one of the primary reasons why these files will never see the light of day.
While I'm not gonna stand here and deny any of these logical conclusions based on the evidence that we have before us and what we know, the only thing you really need to understand is that the consequences of releasing these documents and files in full would simply be too extreme. So they won’t be.
People can speculate why but the reality is lying to our faces is an easier price to pay than full disclosure.
Donald Trump likely is in the Epstein files in some capacity and if I'm not wrong, we already knew this years ago, but I'm skeptical that he was involved in any of the crimes directly. The anti-Trump camp is foaming at the mouth right now somehow shifting the narrative about the whole Epstein saga into one circling the fact that Trump is not letting them be released because he is somehow complicit and in on it.
It's honestly an impressive new version of the destroy Trump and smear him at all costs campaign that's been going on for over six years now. It’s tiring honestly.
If he is involved directly he should be held accountable along with the many others involved — that goes without saying.
But it just seems like a stretch.
The last administration with a weaponized government was willing to charge Trump criminally, go after his supporters, tried to ruin his businesses, used government agencies to raid his home and businesses, and eventually the powers that be attempted to kill him on two different occasions — but those same organizations and people weren't willing to simply disclose files that would be a grand slam in sending him to prison?
Makes sense lol.
However, there's an entirely new flavor of the week.
Yesterday, Tulsi Gabbard—who is now serving as Director of National Intelligence—unleashed a political firestorm by declassifying documents she claims show the Obama administration orchestrated a coordinated effort to undermine Donald Trump’s 2016 victory.
According to Gabbard, senior officials, including Obama, Brennan, Clapper, and Comey, deliberately pushed a misleading intelligence narrative about Russian interference after an internal NSC meeting in December 2016. Anyone with a pulse knows this is likely true lol.
Russia Russia Russia and Russia Gate were always complete bullshit.
She alleges this amounted to a “treasonous conspiracy” and has called for criminal investigations. While her claims are gaining traction among Trump allies, many critics argue she’s distorting the difference between cyber tampering and influence operations, pointing out that the broader consensus across multiple investigations has long held that Russia attempted to sway public opinion—not change votes.
In regards to Hillary Clinton, Gabbard said:
"High-level DNC emails detailed evidence of Hillary Clinton's 'psycho, emotional problems, uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression, & cheerfulness.' Secretary Clinton was allegedly on a daily regimen of heavy tranquilizers."
Again I’m tired lol.
Is it all true? Probably.
Does it matter if there’s no repercussions, accountability, or action taken, no. Is it all a distraction to draw attention away from the utterly botched Epstein document roll out and promises made?
Maybe. Total clown show to be frank.
So put up or shut up — I am tired of the lip service, theatrics, and games being played.
I'm over this, we're not going to see anyone held accountable and at this point it's slowly turning into some terminally online version of brain rot that's consuming everyone's attention while other major issues continue to transpire in our country and across the world, namely:
Immigration, mass migration, and cultural shifts
Stagnant job markets, and opportunities for young people
Skyrocketing national debt
Unaffordable housing and high costs of living for millions of people
Increasingly radical and violent sects of political offshoots
Bowtied Ranger, who we had onto the Risk On podcast months ago, sums it up perfectly in the tweet below. It might make certain people uncomfortable, but I'm telling you right now that there's a more extreme version of politics beyond Donald Trump. Especially with this bizarre back and forth tele-tubby start to the administration.
We have seen nothing yet, and young people’s attitudes are shifting.
When people are pushed past their limits and they feel that there is no reasonable political solution or outcome possible, we should be very wary of what is starting to develop inside our country.
Both sides of the political spectrum tend to react in extreme ways in these environments if we look to history.
This is not me being a doomer or trying to be an edge lord —anyone who is a student of history, knows that all of this stuff is cyclic.
*Insert the classic weak man hard times cycle quote*
Donald Trump's entire rise can mostly be explained by people fleeing to populism and nationalism in the face of far left policy and overreaching government. The same can be said of Europe.
Back in June I wrote: United States of What, Exactly?
In that post I talked about the rising discussions around the trend of cultural division, immigration, and values in the United States.
With each passing day we are getting more and more example of our national identity and values being challenged and in some cases replaced by individuals who clearly have no desire to assimilate into American culture.
While half of you likely hate him Tucker Carlson puts it well on a recent episode of his show:
"We don't even know who lives here. Citizens have nothing in common. Who are my neighbors? They don't even speak my language. They don't know what the Civil War was. We're not on the same page on any level. We're a nation of strangers."
Everywhere you look this trend is exposing itself.
There’s the insane H-1B phenomena going on in big tech with companies like MSFT 0.00%↑ in which Americans are being laid off in favor of cheaper H-1B candidates.
Vice President JD Vance recently shared his thoughts on the H-1B visa landscape, chirping Microsoft for firing Americans while still applying for H-1B visas:
"That math worries me. I don't want companies to fire 9,000 American workers and then go and say they can't find workers here in America. That's a bulls*** story."
Why are we giving away AMERICAN jobs to foreigners?
Because the US is an economic zone now where anyone can come extract from us — it’s no longer a country with a shared set of values and cohesive identity.
We had the New York Mayoral news with Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old democratic socialist unexpectedly securing the Democratic nomination for NYC mayor.
You have the recent situation in Minnesota — Omar Fateh, a Somali state senator who has secured the Democratic–Farmer–Labor (DFL) endorsement for Minneapolis mayor, signaling a highly progressive shift in the state. He is of course a socialist, focused on economic justice, housing, and immigrant protections.
His key proposals are similar to Mamdani’s including raising the minimum wage to $20 by 2028, implementing rent control measures, and expanding affordable and public housing. He also advocates for protecting immigrant communities by limiting police cooperation with federal immigration authorities and ensuring access to legal support.
Similar to Fateh you have Rep. Deqa Dhalac who is serving her second term in the Maine House representing part of South Portland. She went viral this week for this interview in which she openly says her goal is to help “our country of Somalia.” She also supports — you guessed it — interfering with ICE operations in Maine.
As I have said before — if you live in the USA — your primary focus should be on the USA. Not any other country or set of values.
This isn’t a crazy concept. But it’s something we’ve lost significant touch with and you are starting to see it play out all across the country.
You don’t see me moving to Beijing and suddenly telling the Chinese that they need to be more like Americans or adopt American culture, or that their form of government or culture is wrong. I certainly don’t (wouldn’t be allowed to) get into an elected position and then go about implementing change as I see fit, benefiting Americans in China or back at home.
It’s absolute lunacy lol and I expect much more debate on this topic in the coming months.

If Trump was directly involved, he wouldn't have made such a big deal on the campaign trail about releasing the files. It would have been too risky to announce that over and over in stump speeches while relying/hoping that they wouldn't actually get released.
Instead, I think he learned that his donors, 'National Security', or most likely Israel would be negatively impacted and that's why he's had to backtrack. But his manner of backtracking has been completely stupid and ridiculous, especially turning on his base.
The answer is simple. Biden’s admin had access to the files for the last four years. They’ve destroyed real evidence and planted fake evidence. That’s why the sudden pullback. It makes logical sense and lines up with everything we’ve seen so far.
