449: Markets Teetering While Cultural Issues Intensify
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Quite a bit to talk about this week. Goldman Sachs expects the Fed to cut interest rates three times before the end of the year, we have illegal immigrants pulling U Turns in 18 Wheelers on Florida highways, a rise in domestic extremism in states where you would least expect it, and an absurd amount of Wall Street funds that bought Ethereum in the last month.

It’s all there. Just ask the Chainlink marines and ETH dip bottom buyers who printed the last two weeks. It’s table stakes crypto commentary from a publication that has been accurate the majority of the time this run and is currently #1 rising on crypto on this platform.
Nobody wants to do the work to research or read when the market isn’t giga pumping (lesson there).

Been awhile since I threw the true patriots and schizo rant lovers a bone. So here it goes.
Beneath all of the equity and crypto market madness (which we will provide updates on towards the end of today’s post) there is a growing tension in the US and other nations.
The fractures are no longer abstract talking points. In the US and other nations, they show up in the daily headlines: immigration crises, cultural divides, collapsing institutions, rising crime, and a growing sense that the system is failing ordinary people in their home nations.
These tensions spill directly into everyday life, sometimes in tragic and shocking ways.
Three innocent people were recently killed in Florida after a large semi truck decided to attempt a ridiculous U-Turn on a highway driven by a man named Harjinder Singh. A mini van (obviously not expecting such an absurd event to occur) flew underneath the bed of the truck killing a family instantly.
The truck driver who made an illegal U-turn on Florida's Turnpike that led to the passing of 3 Americans, is said to have illegally entered the U.S. through the southern border in 2018. Gavin Newsom’s good old California DMV issued the illegal alien a Commercial Driver’s License.
Gavin Newsom, while a formidable politician, is embarrassing this week — taking to the internet and X to run his mouth about Trump and the “threat to democracy” when his state (my home state) has been entirely run into the ground on virtually every single front. NOW they are making sure illegal immigrants who are a threat to public safety are able to get licenses to drive 18 wheelers on the road with your family and friends?
ICE announced this week they are now considering mass immigration enforcement checks at truck weigh stations nationwide (which of course they should).
Besides the obvious horrific tragedy, what’s even more upsetting is Singh’s apparent complete indifference to the event that you can see in the video. You would’ve thought based on his facial expressions he encountered a mild inconvenience as opposed to causing the death of three people.
Copers will say this is an isolated event.
It’s not.
In June of 2024 an 18-wheeler driven by Ignacio Cruz-Mendoza (driving the truck without a commercial driver’s license) lost control and crashed killing 64 year old Scott Miller
On March 24th illegal migrants were charged in fiery DWI crash that killed a 22 year old in Arlington Texas
On May 6th in Thomasville, Alabama a large semi truck, occupied by two non-citizens in the US on work visas, ripped through multiple cars at a stoplight. Two people were killed and four others were hospitalized.
On July 20, 2025 Noelia Saray Martinez-Avila (a criminal illegal alien from Honduras) while intoxicated struck a vehicle while driving the wrong direction on a highway, killing 18-year-old Hallie Helgeson
On July 26th a drunk illegal immigrant driver who was 3 times over the legal killed a New Jersey mom and her young daughter in a fatal crash in Lakewood
Elizabeth Camacho was walking near a park in Massachusetts when an illegal immigrant drove onto the curb, struck her, and killed her. He was driving with only a Maine learner’s permit. The man, Lionel Francisco, is now in ICE custody facing deportation
This is just a handful of similar incidents in the past two years.
The pattern is undeniable. What the media brushes off as “isolated incidents” is in reality a steady stream of tragedies with the same common thread: weak borders, lax enforcement, and reckless policies that put ideology ahead of public safety.
The lessons are simple and should not be subject to debate:
Immigration without assimilation is not sustainable — it comes with very real costs.
Political leadership matters — the choice to hand out licenses and legal protections to those here illegally directly endangers families on American roads.
Enforcement is not optional — if ICE and federal agencies don’t act decisively, the toll will continue to rise.
These aren’t abstract policy debates. They are lives cut short, families destroyed, and communities forced to pay the price for decisions made far above their heads. Until leaders face that reality, these headlines will keep coming.
The Real Domestic Extremists
The social ramifications of unchecked immigration and the importation of hostile ideology into the US have never been more evident than they are now.
Nobody really wants to talk about it, but it is the single biggest threat to this country that exists today, hands down.
