251: Nvidia, Google's 1984, Cyber Threats
There are some weeks where even I am surprised at how accurate some of the forecasts we make in Arb Letter end up being. And no it’s not the fact that President Biden's dog Commander has bitten at least 24 Secret Service personnel over the last 2 years.
Each day we are watching massive developments that directly impact our liberty, freedom, and prosperity in the US and across the globe. It’s truly like a Tom Clancy novel at this point.
But it’s worth re-emphasizing when I set out to start Arb Letter I wanted to focus on two things:
Providing actionable commentary on markets, geopolitics, and society
Avoiding the influence of mainstream propoganda and narratives
The fight in this new world is for your attention and further, for control of your emotions and perceptions of what is real and what isn’t. This predicament is exacerbated greatly by advances in AI, technology, and centralized government control of the intelligence agencies and media.
This aren’t wacky or conspiracy based claims — they’re common sense problems we all face. This our reality now. The only way forward is through it.
So many — for whatever reason, be it ignorance, fear, stubbornness, or pre conditioning still do not seem to grasp the severity of the times we live in.
Today the entire US was hit by what appears to be a large scale cyber attack or disruption. Healthcare facilities were impacted, many could not use their cell phones, and disruptions for EMS services and police were rampant. We’ve spoken about the likelihood of this happening before and suspect this is just a dry run or start to what is coming.
Additionally — the internet exploded yesterday with critics of Google’s new Gemini AI platform after many queries exposed it to be nothing other than an anti white ultra woke dictionary of historically inaccurate and laughable content.
At the risk of sounding slightly patronizing — Arb Letter has repeatedly made accurate calls on everything from crypto prices to tech stocks to geopolitical outcomes and black swan events like the one we saw play out today — don’t believe me?

Did We Get Hit With A Large Cyber Attack Today?
Beginning on Thursday morning all major service providers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and US Cellular began reporting system outages. Many iPhones became stuck in SOS mode only — and law enforcement agencies around the country posted to Twitter and other sites that emergency services would be temporarily unavailable (one of the many major consequences of outages).
Pharmacies are also reporting that their systems are coming under attack — the alleged cyberattack is targeting Change Healthcare, which is one of the country's largest healthcare technology companies that manages orders and payments from patients across the United States. This has immediately resulted in delays for filling prescriptions and orders for pharmacies across the US.
