Aussie here, yeah the way we've responded to this has been crazy. Closing in on US vaccination levels and 40% of the country isn't allowed to travel more than 5km from home even if fully vaccinated, interstate borders closed, quarantine facilities, it is insane. And this is with a nominally conservative party in charge at the national level, albeit with a lot of the crazy restrictions coming from progressive state premiers.
I'm amazed that the population has taken it, and even for the most part supported it. Gonna be interesting to see what happens when we reach the 70% and 80% fully vaccinated targets if we don't start opening up a lot more.
Love the substack BTW man, don't agree with all your takes but good to see some honest opinions and see what other smart people are thinking.
