Hope everyone had a great long weekend and Memorial Day.
Quite a bit to cover this week including the state of crypto as well as an incident that took place in North Carolina involving 2 Chechens and a Delta Force Operator that raises some serious questions about the state of national security in the US at the moment.
We will touch on both those topics later this week — but today wanted to offer a self development, self help piece.
With the competition to “make it” ramping up in every corner of the world — there’s never been a more important time to be locked in as the kids say these days. Regardless of if you’re working for a promotion, to start your own business or just advance in life — the list I’ve compiled today should help you do just that in a shorter amount of time.
Last year I put out a highly popular post (below) titled 10 Ways To Improve Your Life Overnight and wanted to provide a follow up that expands on some of the concepts, particularly as it relates to efficiency and getting things done more seamlessly. I you’re like most others reading Arb Letter you work a day job, maybe have a side business or venture, and are working towards your financial freedom any chance you can get.
Today I’ll talk through some pointers I have after 10+ years in the work force, 8+ years running my own business online, and some efficiency tips I gained in other life pursuits like being a NCAA athlete and outdoorsmen.
I can only speak for my self but I feel like time is becoming more of a factor when it comes to “making it” or seeing a good amount of success in the coming several years.
With macro factors highly volatile, high inflation, deteriorating social conditions, and the light speed jumps technology and AI are making, my goal is to accomplish as much as I can in the shortest amount of time to ensure I am set financially, mentally squared away and at peace, and I’ve accomplished what I can before a certain age.
My focus for the remainder of 2024 is efficiency. Finding ways to scale my output, make my efforts go further, and compound success I have already had to pull ahead.
The guide today aims to expand on 9 of my points that I focus on in financial markets, personal development, and my other life endeavors to ensure I remain as efficient as possible without sacrificing quality. Following these will have a material impact on your output, the opportunities that present themselves to you, and the success you see in any pursuit you find worth chasing.
We will return to markets and geopolitical topics later this week — but today let’s start with a list of the top factors/points I see as being instrumental in driving the highest amount of efficiency possible in your daily life.
1 - Start Your Days With Discomfort
I’ve talked about this concept many times before — but it’s funny how it generates momentum into all other areas of your life if you stick to it. In today’s world there is an endless stream of dopamine and easy fixes that stem mostly from technology or other distractions.
We consciously and inadvertently get sucked into these time wastes every day. This is one of the main reasons so many people wake up after 30 years and go “wow I haven’t become the person I want or nearly accomplished have of what I know I could have.
